Big Country, Small-Town Feel.
West Central Idaho's down-home communities appeal to many for their friendly neighbors, recreation, and active, yet relaxed, lifestyle. Properties here include homes in town and on acreages in the countryside, mountain and lakeside vacation homes, rural cabin tracts, farms and ranches, and commercial investment properties.
Community Life
This is Big Country with a Small-Town Feel because folks here in Cambridge, Council, Midvale, Weiser, McCall, Cascade, and Donnelly take time to chat at a local restaurant, one of the many churches, or simply in passing at one of the special community events, such as McCall's Winter Festival and Weiser's National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest and Festival. Museums, grocery stores, studios, shops and restaurants line the downtown streets. Each community has its own library.
Well-trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and ambulances in every community provide service to the hospitals in Weiser and McCall; in addition, Life Flight ($50.00 annual fee per year per family) serves the entire region. Clinics with doctors, nurse practitioners, and dentists in Cambridge and Council also provide for medical needs. Several veterinary clinics are available for animal care.
