Weiser

Weiser, the county seat of Washington County, is a welcoming community of approximately 5000, where "small town" atmosphere still abides, but "full grown" applies to our schools, local economy, and community spirit. Here on Idaho's west central border, at the confluence of the Weiser and Snake Rivers, you'll find the relaxed comfort and security of rural living with a healthy infrastructure of local businesses--and "power" shopping and amenities only 70 miles east in Boise. Climate & Landscape

At 2100 feet elevation, Weiser's four distinct seasons offer "ideal livability" with approximately 11 inches of precipitation per year. Diverse acreage in the Treasure Valley includes fertile farm and ranch land, foothills, rugged draws, rolling hills, and high desert. Streams, rivers, and lakes provide habitat for wildlife--deer, elk, wild turkey, and upland game birds--and a playground for outdoorsmen, whether your interest is hunting, fishing, camping, boating, waterskiing, snowmobiling, or simply taking in nature's beauty.

Community Amenities

Weiser is much more than a farming and ranching valley--it is a friendly, caring home community for anyone who seeks a more relaxed pace of life and the natural beauty that West Central Idaho offers. Weiser's Memorial Hospital is located in the heart of town with all the necessities of a larger facility, as well as an attached Medical Specialty Clinic, 24-hour EMT/Ambulance service, Home Health services, and Life Flight throughout the region. A very active senior population (Weiser Senior Center 208-549-0750) also provides a strong, supportive community for retirees. Weiser's Little Theater and the Onion Skin Players present live theater production annually.
